Happening Marketing is the most recognized marketing case competition in eastern canada. It includes three disciplines; academic, sports and social. In the past, JMSB has been very successful in this competition. Indeed, we have won the overall first position for the past four years. The competition is happening from March 26th to March 28th.
What is it all about?
MARKUS, the Sherbrooke University Marketing Association, throws an inter-university advertising competition in the event of the Soirée de la pub. This year the challenge is to develop a 20 seconds FRENCH web advertising message for Leucan. Leucan is a non-lucrative association which mission is to enhance the well-being, healing and recovery of children with cancer and ensure support for their families since 1978. For 10 years now, Leucan organizes a challenge
called « Défi têtes rasées MD Leucan ». Last year, over 30 000 people shaved their heads in Quebec during this event and helped Leucan raise more than 3.8 million for cancer. As a student, use your creativity for a good cause, compete against numerous universities of the eastern Canada to help Leucan advertise its 2010 « Défi têtes rasées MD Leucan »! You compete alone or form a team composed of 5 students maximum.
Prizes!
Over $ 2500 in bursaries will be won! And many other surprises are awaiting the participants! 1st PRIZE: 1500 $ in bursary and the integration of your online advertising message for the « Défi têtes rasées Leucan campaign »;
2nd PRIZE: 700 $ in bursary;
3rd PRIZE: 300 $ in bursary;
Prize « coup de coeur » : from the public of a surprise value
Are you eligible?
Each participant must be registered in the fall 2009 or winter 2010 semester in a
Marketing or Communications program at a University establishment in Eastern Canada.
Important Dates
• January 18th at midnight: Limit date for the teams to register
• January 29th at midnight: Limit date for the teams to give to JMMA the finalized version of their 20 sec advertising message
• February 17th: The selected finalist for Concordia will attend the « Soirée de la Pub », at Sherbrooke University. The winners will be revealed during this event.
